They say a picture is worth 1000 word and I believe that. Looking back on the most important seasons of your life is truly a gift. Whether it be the birth of a child, a special event, it's always vital to capture these moments in time.

Tips for a Great Session :

  • Dress with coordination in mind. Choose outfits that complement one another rather than match exactly. Solid colors and clothing within the same color palette photograph beautifully, while large logos and busy patterns can be distracting.
  • Don't forget a snack! A full belly goes a long way—especially for little ones. Happy, comfortable kids (and adults!) make for a much more enjoyable session.
  • If you're scheduling a fall session, the Smoky Mountains typically show their best fall color from late October through the first half of November.
  • Keep the weather in mind. Even during September and October, temperatures can still be quite warm, so lightweight, breathable clothing is often your best choice.
  • For winter sessions, dress in layers. You'll stay warm between photos while still having the flexibility to remove jackets for a few portraits if you'd like.
  • Choose makeup with a natural, matte finish. Powder-based products tend to photograph well and help minimize unwanted shine.
  • Plan for a little breeze. Wind is common in East Tennessee, so using a strong-hold hairspray can help keep flyaways under control throughout your session.
